Freedom Machinery has the next generation of strip accumulators for tube mill and rollform applications.  Unlike conventional strip accumulators that force the strip into storage via a series of driven pinch rolls, our accumulator has a carousel that lays the strip into storage as it rotates. 

Our New Vertical Rotary Accumulator has Fantastic Advantages over Old          Conventional Floops & Horizontals:
     

• Virtually eliminates light gauge restrictions.  If you can end weld the strip, regardless of gauge, you can lay it into storage.

• Virtually eliminates the narrow strip width restrictions.  This machine can easily store strip widths under 1” wide.

• Saves wear and tear on the uncoiler by slowly ramping up to full storage speed.

• Has continuous material flow through the accumulator, which means no rethreading through bypass mode.

• The accumulator is fully programmable and easy to operate.

• Without driven pinch rolls, the strip can pass through with less marking.

• Since this accumulator has a wider range for strip width and strip gauge, you are able to run strip that is currently bypassed on the old accumulator.

• This accumulator does not rely on the tensile strength of the strip and is therefore more suitable for nonferrous materials; such as, aluminum.
