Accumulators
A Strip Accumulator is used to accumulate and store steel strip used in the process of converting flat strip into a predetermined shape. The strip is accumulated and stored so the tube mill or rollformer will run without stopping while the end of outgoing strip can be butt welded to the end of the incoming strip.
