Entire Tube Plants

Tube/Pipe Mills are used in the manufacturing of welded steel tube and pipe; such as, API or OCTG Pipe, Automotive Exhaust Tubing and Structural Steel Tube. The tube can be formed round, square rectangle and special shapes. It is manufactured by feeding predetermined width and gauge of steel coil strip into a series of driven rolls where it is formed into a closed shape. The seam is then electrically welded by ERW or high frequency. The process is continuous. The tube/pipe is cut off to predetermined length using a flying or traveling cut off die mounted in a mechanical press or traveling saw. It can then be pumped or stacked into a bundle and banded to move to another process such as bending, fabricating, welded or recut into shorter lengths.
